CARP FISHING
We are proud to carry Michigan's most comprehensive selection of Carp-angling bait and terminal tackle. Our Carp-angling selection is aimed toward beginners, and the anglers on a budget. However we also are catering increasingly to the needs of the more serious and experienced Carp anglers. Products range from highend Shimano Baitrunners, to low-priced beginner's Euro-style rods, from Fox leads and Drennan method feeders to economical hand-tied hair rigs.
Baits
We are proud to carry a selection of specialist Carp baits produced here in Michigan. The Bait Shop provides high quality maize, flavours, and method mixes. Because supporting other local businesses is important to us, we carry a selection of LorAnn Oils, a Lansing corporation. Other Ameican-produced Carp baits include corn, flavors, boilies, and groundbaits from K-1, Superior, Wacker Bait, and World Classic Bait.
Imported baits include Pescaviva corn, Concept 4-0 flavors and boilies, groundbaits and boilies, and a selection of Toop Mix method mixes and flavours. Our selection also includes such "American-style" baits as Magic Premo Carp doughbaits, to be used with our wide variety of spring hooks.
Fly and Float-Fishing
Fly and float-fishing equipment are also included in our Carp department. We are consistently adding new brands and styles of floats.
Our Fly Shop staff has experience tying Carp flies and stalking Carp. See our selection of tied on site Carp flies, including wooly Buggers, San Juan Worms, Crayfish, as well as imitations of mulberries, corn and cottonwood seeds.
